Kirina and Kysa watched as Jared and another gentleman were sworn in as deputy sheriff on Friday, June 18th at the Rich County Offices.
It was an exciting experience. We all got to be involved in Jared's first public service swearing in. He will be working for them for the summer until after Labor Day. Then he will pursue more police officer job leads. The market has been opening up a little and there is a much brighter future in police work. We are so grateful for the patience we have learned in the last 9 months. It has been an interesting experience and a tough job search.
So unfortunately because he has to work, we are having to have our Father's Day without the man we like to call "Daddy" at our house. He is definitely missed and they keep asking when he is going to be home so they can sing to him. We are very proud of him and are grateful for the sacrifice he is making to support our little family. I also like to remember my dad on days like today. What a great man he was. So Dad, "Happy Fathers Day" wherever you may be and whatever you may be doing.
Then my Grandpa Toomer and my Grandpa Sorensen. Both of these men had many influences on me and I will never forget them.
And of course I would love to give a shout out to my baby brother who was a great example of a father. We are thinking of you too, today Phil.
And lastly, Jared's wonderful Dad who is a stalwart example of Father. He is an amazing dad and I am so grateful to know him and to have shared the last 14 years with him. I am proud to call him Father-in-Law. You raised a Great Son, Howard. So Thank You!!
