My Dad-Edwin Andrew Sorensen "Andy"

On Saturday, March 22, 2014 my dad would have been a mere 56 years old.  I thought about him all day Saturday, choking back tears as I remembered the good times and the times that weren't so good.  I was a bit of a handful and Dad and I clashed at a lot of points in my life, but we always came out friends.  He was so proud of me and my brother.  We were his treasures.  I started looking at pictures and put together a memory book.  For all those who remember my dad, he was the most selfless man I know.  He didn't always go to church and he had some bad habits, but I love him and he loved me!  I remember going on vacation EVERY summer.  Hence the reason I feel it important to take my kids on vacation or camping as much as possible.  Those are the best memories and I am so thankful that I have those memories.  For those of you who have lost a father, it feels like you are abandoned and especially when you are still a kid yourself.  I was 20 when dad died and just experienced the loss of my first child.  I felt robbed for many reasons, but after working through a lot of feelings for 15 years and withstanding other losses during that time I have come to realize that no one gets out alive and all too soon we will see them again!  I love the atonement and I love the Gospel. I love my Dad, that is all!
