Jared is always telling me this is the year he is going to die...the reason: My dad died 6 months after he turned 41. Jared turned 41 in December, however, I really doubt he is going to die this year. I always wonder if he is secretly hoping he will follow in my dad's footsteps for two reasons: To have peace and quiet to read his never-ending book list or to prove he was right...HE LOVES TO BE RIGHT! :) He also thinks I am jinxed because all the men in my family have died young...I told him it was them that was jinxed. ;)
Tomorrow (yes Valentine's Day) is our 16th anniversary. We were married 2-14-98 in SLC. I am looking forward to this upcoming year with this handsome, genuine man. We have many things to get accomplished and I am happy to have him at my side. I love him more with each passing year. He is a wonderful husband and an amazing father. It is fun to fall into a pattern of "life" with a companion and know they are going to be there with you for eternity even if they "check out early" like my dad! Eternity is a long time and I am grateful for it. I love you, Jared Daniel, to Eternity and back.
