February Highlights

My 13th Anniversary was magnificent (although I had to work until 5)!!  It was an excellent day and I got these after dinner at El Toro Viejo!  What more could a girl ask for?

You can barely see the pink tips!  They were beautiful.

Valentine's weekend was spent at my mom's.  Jared worked at CVSH the whole weekend.  It was a bummer to be without him, but I knew that Monday was our true Anniversary, so I enjoyed time with my mom, my sis-in-law and her kids and my kids.  My niece got her bangs trimmed and mom dyed my hair!  Thanks Mom!
BEFORE
AFTER...oh what a cute 5 year old!

My nephew and his trial ski run behind Gma's.  He's a natural!

Valentine's for all the Grandkids!  Yippee...right before bed!

Kysa has had better weekends, but she is on the mend now!
We were at the Johnson's a couple of weeks prior to Valentine's and the kids received their V-tines from Grandma and Grandpa Johnson then....with a note to open on Valentines....but the temptation was too much, they were eaten well before V-day!

I forgot to blog that at the end of January it was my nephew's 8th birthday.  We went to a very fun snow machine party at his house!  We all had a blast!

We really celebrated Valentine's with an extended President's day weekend in Wyoming at:

We had a blast.  The kids made 5 runs!  A great day to ski!!  We ended up purchasing our 2011-2012 ski passes and we get to ski on it all of March 2011.  We are very excited, plus it means going to Grandma's!!

The Love Month

February 14, 1998
I really do love February.  This month holds a lot of meaning in our home.  It was the month we started our life together!  Today in Sunday school the question was asked if anyone had any apostle experiences.  We were talking about Jesus and his 12 apostles in Luke.  Jared proudly raised his hand and announced (after being in the ward for 11 years and NEVER divulging this information) that we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in 1998 by the greatest Apostle ever (at least in our home), Elder L. Tom Perry!  A flood of emotions and memories ran through my mind of that day.  It seems like just yesterday that we were in his presence in the sealing room.  We love him and feel like he is Cokeville's Apostle.  It was truly an honor to be sealed by him.  It will be 13 years ago on Monday, February 14th (VALENTINE's DAY) that we were married.  How come I feel like I still have so much growing to do still?  How come I still feel 19?  Is it because I am a kid at heart?  Where does the time go?  Where did all this gray hair come from?  No one told me that marriage wasn't going to be blissful every day!  Kids don't come with instructions?  Husbands don't come with mind reading manuals?  I wouldn't trade one experience or learning moment that we have shared together for anything.  It has formed us into who we are today and we know we can withstand and have withstood many trials.  We are enjoying where we are in our relationship.  Jared knows me better than anyone and he still stays with me and my flaws.  I love him very much and am grateful for all the years we have shared together.  I know this life is short and I thank Heavenly Father each day I get another day with my Valentine!  Hope all of you have a very Happy Valentine's Day!

I am not sure if it was me or the kiddos that made all his hair fall out!!
