Our 2009 garden is in! We are so excited. We planted 120 foot rows this year. We did 12 or 13 rows of corn, 5 rows of 36 potato sets, 2 rows of onions, 2 rows of radishes, 2 rows of turnips, 4 rows of carrots, 2 rows of lettuce, 3 rows of swiss chard, 4 rows of peas, 16 various squash plants, and about 15 tomato plants. We are planning on putting in tritecale and dry beans on a 1/2 of an acre in a week or so. A lot of hard, rewarding work. It is fun to be able to see J*s family and be able to work together on this huge project. It is awesome to learn how to prepare the food for storage.
